Stand Up for Play: Creating Fun Purposeful Standing Experiences to Engage Reluctant Kids

Utilizing a standing frame is an important intervention for children with disabilities as part of a 24-hour postural care program. This session acknowledges that exuberant integration of a standing program can be challenging to implement for the therapeutic recommended dosage of 60 minutes daily, 5-7 days per week. Activity ideas for use in a standing frame along with examples of activity analysis will be presented to assist therapists with building a meaningful standing program around a child's interests.
