Hacking Life - What's Your Favorite App?

Ever wonder how we all functioned without our smartphones and tablets? Remember when phones just made phone calls? Try leaving your devices at home one day and you will be quickly reminded how useful they are. How did we navigate without Google Maps or find restaurants without Yelp and Open Table?

Apps connect us

The truth is our tech world is constantly changing and one of the benefits is that new apps are coming out daily. If you can think up an app that hasn't been developed yet, you are a visionary. You should get on it and get that app to market. Apple's slogan from 2009 "There's an app for that" has turned out to be quite prophetic, because today there really is an app for almost everything.

So what is your favorite app? Everyone has a few that they can't live without and a few that seemed great but are now just taking up icon space on your phone. Below you will find a list of some of our favorites, but we want to know what you think. Please leave us a comment on what app you like and why. Who knows, you may introduce someone to their new favorite!

Shush! Ringer Restorer

Google Play Store

When you turn your ringer off for a movie, meeting, meal, or nap, this app turns it back on afterwards.

Wheelchair Calorimeter

This app uses the GPS location services on your iPhone to help you determine how many calories you burn while exercising in a manual wheelchair. It is designed for outdoor exercise.

AbleRoad

No matter where you live or what you like to do, AbleRoad lets you locate, rate, and review accessible places! Find nearby restaurants, stores, hotels, groceries, salons, theaters, and more.

Find Me GF

The best gluten-free restaurant finder out there! Find Me Gluten Free helps you easily eat gluten-free.

Extreme Wheelchairing

iTunes Store | Google Play Store

Ready to give your thumbs some exercise? Then jump into this action-packed wheelchair game. Roll your way through the levels as quickly as possible, do stunts and jumps, find hidden items, and don't tip over.

RunPee

iTunes Store | Google Play Store

The RunPee database is constantly updated-the day movies are released in theaters-to tell you the best times to run and pee mid-movie. And, of course, the app provides a synopsis with each Peetime, so you will know exactly what you missed.
