Greetings from Beneficial Designs. My name is Peter Axelson. I am a wheelchair user, designer, and engineer, and I am reaching out today with important information regarding COVID-19 precautions to be taken by wheelchair users.

During this time of self-isolation, you may find yourself with more free time at home. While this situation can be overwhelming and you may find it difficult to be productive at home, these seven fun and accessible things to do are perfect for filling some free time, and are great options for spending a few minutes before work or winding down after work.

Whether it's your first power wheelchair or your third, selecting the right one for you is a personal process. There are pros and cons to many chairs out there, and much like driving a car, it's all about how it feels and suits your unique needs. Here are just a few tips to consider when thinking about your next power wheelchair purchase.

The American Wheelchair Bowling Association (AWBA) was founded in 1961 by Richard Carlson and 13 other men in wheelchairs who wanted to bowl and would not take "no" for an answer. Over the last 59 years, the AWBA has grown to over 500 members around the country, competing in seven regional tournaments and one National Championship.

As I got older, being cautious of everything never seemed to work well for me. I found myself getting involved in just about any non-contact sport I could. Three years ago, through an organization I participate in, I was given the opportunity to go on a ski trip to Utah with a few other girls. That was the first time I took a real chance on doing something that seemed very daring for a person with OI.
