Adaptive Zip-Lining at Orenda Springs

Shortly after I was crowned Ms. Wheelchair NY in 2013, my family, friends, and I wanted to celebrate my new title by doing something fun together. I searched for an activity that all of us could take part in and came across adaptive zip-lining close to home. Orenda Springs is an organization in Marcellus, NY that provides different individual and group team-building activities such as ropes courses, adaptive zip-lining, horseback riding, skiing, yoga, and camping.

From a very young age I was competing in sports, starting with competitive skiing at four years old. It's always been a part of me and has always been my biggest passion. Aside from skiing and golfing, which I competed in for 12 years, I also played badminton and basketball in high school. Then of course, there were my other hobbies like mountain biking, hiking, ping pong, squash, and more.

My name is Bryanna Tanase and I am a 20-year-old woman living with cerebral palsy. For those of you who don't know, cerebral palsy (CP) is a neurological condition caused by brain damage that affects motor skills, coordination, and movement.
