Growable Basic Cushion and Backrest

Good posture starts with a stable trunk and pelvis, and that's why BeMe Basic features a growable anti-thrust seat which follows the shape of the thighs to keep the pelvis in neutral alignment and prevent forward sliding.

This is coupled with a growable back support with lateral flanges to promote an upright, midline posture. Accordion foam and 4-way stretch fabric ensure support is provided from pelvis to shoulder throughout the lifetime of the seat.

Supports Standing Transfers

BeMe Basic is specifically designed to aid standing transfers, encouraging children to remain strong, active, and independent for longer.

Options available to assist with standing transfers include a lockable, flip-up footplate; height-, depth-, and angle-adjustable arm supports; and quick-release accessories such as tray and medial thigh support. The Multi-Height and Tilt (Hi-Lo) base can achieve an ultra-low seat-to-floor height of 10.2".

Every child is unique – and often, their seat is, too. Tailoring the BeMe Basic is a breeze thanks to its interchangeable parts and accessories. It's frequently supplemented with swing-away slimline laterals, a high-contrast tray, and an adjustable headrest.

Growable Contoured Cushion

Maintaining pelvic support as a child grows is vital, but can often be a challenge for seating systems. Our innovative contoured cushion ensures continuous support with a deep ischial well for pelvic stability, width-adjustable trochanteric supports for lateral stability, and a depth-adjustable ischial shelf to prevent forward sliding. Accordion foam and 4-way stretch fabric provide deep immersion and pressure relief, while abducted positioning promotes hip health.

Lumbar Support

BeMe Moderate's unique lumbar support system is key to encouraging an upright posture, which is essential for breathing, eating, communicating, and upper limb function. Unlike traditional planar backrests, which don't match lumbar curves, BeMe Moderate has an innovative lumbar support system to remove gaps at the lumbar spine. The angle-adjustable sacral pad seamlessly connects to the thoracic pad, creating a curve which supports the lumbar spine, reduces slumping in the seat, and encourages an upright posture.

Tailored to Every Need

Children are constantly developing, and as such, we need to be able to respond to those rapidly changing needs. BeMe Moderate's standard specification is regularly upgraded with a split seat base and cushion which accommodates non-correctable asymmetry, such as leg length difference or wind-sweeping. The seat is also often modified with a range of interchangeable accessories, such as ankle huggers or booties for the feet, or shoulder protraction wings on the back support.

Split Seat Base

BeMe Advanced's split seat base easily accommodates nearly every lower limb asymmetry. Like the rest of the BeMe family, this seat features our patent-pending accordion foam and stretchable fabric, offering up to 5 inches of growth. Careful positioning of the seat pivot points ensures synchrony of movement between the child's femurs and the seat leg supports when accommodating asymmetric postures such as windsweeping and leg length differences.

Innovative 3D Back Support

A key attribute of BeMe Advanced is the unique and innovative 3D backrest which features three interlinked sections, each independently adjustable for height, angle, and depth. This allows the system to effectively accommodate postures such as non-correctable scoliosis, kyphosis, or hyperlordosis.

Unlike fixed molded systems, BeMe Advanced's innovative 3D back support is designed to grow and adapt, meaning we can now cater for complex asymmetries and offer support that traditionally only custom molds could provide.

Cover options

BeMe covers are available in water-resistant 4-way stretch fabric in purple, blue, or gray, as well as wipe-clean gray vinyl. The wipe-clean vinyl cover option is designed for easy care – surfaces can be cleaned with warm soapy water, sanitizing wipes, or mild disinfectant to support high hygiene standards in shared clinical settings and at home.

Headrest

A curved, single pad headrest which provides posterior support with a high degree of comfort and safety. This headrest is ideal for tilt or recline, and easily adjusts to adapt to children's changing needs.

Medial thigh support

Featuring soft foam and a smooth cover for enhanced child comfort, the medial thigh support is designed for children who have strong adductor tone. It is available in three sizes to provide the right fit and support for each child.

Only available on Basic and Moderate seating.

Sandals

Three sizes of sandals provide precise foot positioning on the footplate, providing stability to the lower limbs and preventing feet from slipping off the footplate. Booties and ankle huggers are also available.

Slimline laterals

These slimline laterals are designed for a compact finish, maximizing the child's ability to function and move without restriction. Available in three sizes, they are adjustable in height, depth, and angle, allowing for precision trunk positioning and support. Available as rigid or flip-away.

Tray

The tray provides upper limb support, helping with active trunk control and facilitating tabletop activities such as play and feeding. It comes in black as standard, offering visual contrast with items placed on the tray.

Femoral guides

Designed to provide thigh support for optimal femoral alignment, these femoral guides feature a quick-release mechanism for easier transfers. Available in 4 sizes.

Dynamic backrest

For some children with advanced needs, such as those with high extensor tone or sensory regulation issues, controlled movement can be an important part of self-regulation.

This dynamic backrest moves with the child, offering comfort while helping the chair respond naturally to their movements. This feature is controlled by air pressure, meaning that the resistance can be adjusted at any time to control the chair as it extends or adjust the speed of the return. This lets the child settle into their seat and find the level of movement that is right for them.

Butterfly harness

The butterfly harness provides a dynamic and supportive anterior trunk support that helps the child stay comfortably aligned and engaged during daily activities.
